State Landscape: Detailing Eligibility & Enrollment Practices in Medicaid, SNAP, TANF, and WIC
The landscape assessment is a compilation of state-by-state eligibility, operations, and outcome data across all 50 states and DC on Medicaid, SNAP, WIC and TANF. It pulls together into a single place data from a variety of reports, or information gathered by CBPP, on program eligibility criteria, waivers, and other metrics. The goal is to help advocates and state administrators leverage the data to see how their state compares to others and identify opportunities to improve policy and program administration. Users can:
- Filter by state, and compare a state to national data, neighboring states, or others.
- Filter by population, and focus in on factors relevant to children, immigrants, pregnant/postpartum people, and seniors/people with disabilities.
- Filter by data category, including eligibility rules (who qualifies for the program), operations (policy and technology choices that affect processes), and outcome metrics (performance data).
