This week at CBPP, we focused on the federal budget, the economy, health, and housing.

On the federal budget, we detailed the record of historic harm caused by the Trump Administration and congressional Republicans in the first year of President Trump’s second term. Kiran Rachamallu and Devin O’Connor examined federal personnel data, publicly released for the first time by the Trump Administration, showing the extent of its radical cuts to the federal workforce.
On the economy, Malik Woullard and Gbenga Ajilore explained the basics of inflation.
On health, Gideon Lukens explained the realities of premium tax credit enhancements, contrary to false claims by policymakers opposed to extending the enhancements.
