On food assistance, Ty Jones Cox testified before the House Agriculture’s Subcommittee on Nutrition, Oversight, and Department Operations and detailed opportunities to strengthen the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) in the 2022 farm bill. We updated our backgrounder on SNAP. On the federal budget, David Reich called on Congress to provide non-defense appropriations sufficient to address the full range of national needs and priorities. On the economy, we released our chart book tracking the recovery from the pandemic recession.
