Director of TANF Research and Analysis
Ife Floyd is the Director of TANF Research and Analysis with the Center’s Family Income Support Division. She joined the Center in June 2011 as a Research Associate. During her time at the Center she has provided technical assistance to state partners, expanded engagement with TANF advocates, conducted analysis of TANF data and policy, lifted up racial inequities and racism within the nation’s cash assistance programs, built new connections with groups representing people with lived experience of poverty, and moved forward equity conversations within the organization.
Prior to joining the Center, Floyd served as an AmeriCorp VISTA with Culture Connect, Inc. and developed a cultural competency workshop series for professional workplaces in the Atlanta area. She also worked with the Atlanta Community Food Bank’s Prosperity Campaign as a benefits screener to increase access to programs like SNAP, TANF, and Medicaid for low-income families.
Floyd holds a BA in Sociology from Northwestern University and a MPP degree from Georgia State University.
