CBPP Announces New Chief Development Officer

The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities (CBPP) announced today that Nikki Drevich has joined the organization as Chief Development Officer following a national search. She will lead a skilled team to showcase the organization’s impact, build and sustain relationships with core funding partners and prospects, and broaden financial investment in CBPP’s work and mission.

“Nikki brings deep commitment to promoting economic, health, and racial justice and rich experience building and implementing comprehensive, long-term development strategies,” said Sharon Parrott, CBPP President. “Her dedication and expertise will help CBPP secure and sustain the resources to advance our vision of a just country where everyone can thrive and share in the nation’s prosperity.”

Drevich brings more than 15 years of development leadership, including building strategic partnerships, cultivating board leadership, and managing crucial fundraising efforts that advance social and economic justice.

Most recently, Drevich served as the Vice President, Foundation Relations at Feeding America, a nonprofit network of 200 food banks leading the fight against hunger in the United States. At Feeding America, Drevich secured critical emergency funds that helped food banks serve millions of families during the COVID-19 pandemic through partnerships with corporations, individuals, and foundations.

She also led the inclusive co-creation of a climate change strategy to reduce the carbon footprint of the charitable food system, and secured seed investment from national philanthropists to create an equity impact fund to accelerate food security investments in communities of color.

Drevich also served in fundraising and program development roles with national think tanks, including the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, the Bipartisan Policy Center, and the Brookings Institution.

“I’ve been a long-time supporter of CBPP and their commitment to promote economic justice, improve health, broaden opportunity, and eliminate structural barriers for communities of color, and I have witnessed the powerful impact of their policy and advocacy work,” said Drevich. “I am thrilled to join this team of talented, dedicated people and help grow support for the organization’s rigorous research and analysis, strategic communications, and effective advocacy for policies that build toward a more equitable nation.”
