Ali Safawi is a Research Assistant with the Family Income Support team. Previously, he was an intern with the Health and Housing teams. He also serves as an Internship Coordinator, developing, coordinating, and supervising various elements of the internship program to ensure a meaningful and productive experience for interns and for the organization.
Ali received a B.A. in community and global public health from the University of Michigan. While at Michigan, he worked in the Michigan House of Representatives as well as several political campaigns. He was also an editorial board member and columnist for The Michigan Daily.
