Ali Zane is a Research Associate with the Family Income Support team, where he works on issues including TANF benefit levels, spending, and the federal drug felony ban. Prior to joining the team in June 2020, Ali interned with the Center, where he worked at the intersection of health and housing policies with the Connecting the Dots project.
Ali received his B.A. from the University of Michigan. While at Michigan, he interned in the Michigan House of Representatives as well as for several political campaigns. He was also an editorial board member and a columnist for The Michigan Daily.
