Urvi is a Policy Analyst on the Housing and Income Security team. Prior to joining the Center, she worked for several local nonprofits across the country focused on economic security and child and family welfare. She previously served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Kingdom of Tonga and an AmeriCorps VISTA member in South Carolina, during which she was deeply involved in community engagement; diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives; and program development. Currently, her work revolves around the intersection of state housing policy and economic security, with a dedicated focus on racial equity and reproductive justice. Having previously interned at the Center, she is excited about her role as an Intern Coordinator, where she can support and guide another generation of policy-oriented professionals.

Urvi holds a Master of Science in Public Affairs and Community Development from Rutgers University-Camden, as well as a B.S. in Writing, Rhetoric and Technical Communication from James Madison University.
