Iris Hinh is a Research Associate on the State Fiscal Policy team. She is currently finishing up her M.A. Politics and Education program at Teachers College at Columbia University. In graduate school, Iris developed a strong interest in issues around school choice and privatization and is working toward a data analysis concentration. She also finds enjoyment in making connections with community members, exploring housing rights, and seeking opportunities to foster civic engagement.
She previously interned with the Learning Policy Institute, American Civil Liberties Union of Southern California, and U.S. Department of Education. She holds a B.A. in Political Science with minors in Education Studies and Asian American Studies from the University of California-Los Angeles.
