Interim Co-Leader of the Human Resources Team
Bonnie Johnson is the Deputy Director of Benefits and Compensation. Johnson is responsible for the development and administration of the Center’s benefits and total rewards programs. Johnson researches and analyzes current trends in compensation and total rewards to assist the Center in remaining competitive and equitable regarding salary and benefit offerings. Johnson also manages the on/offboarding processes and the Center’s current HRIS system.
In her six years at the Center, Johnson has been responsible for continuously working on streamlining the Center’s processes and procedures, allowing employees to access their benefit options more efficiently.
Johnson focuses much of her efforts on employees’ experiences as they relate to the human resources function, existing benefits options, and the Center as a whole. Johnson brings a wealth of administrative and management expertise to the Human Resources team. Before joining the Center, Johnson served as a legal assistant for several senior-level partners in law firms throughout Washington, D.C. She also worked on Capitol Hill, as Administrative Director of the Joint Committee on Taxation.
Johnson holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland. Currently, she is pursuing her master’s degree in Human Resources and Organizational Development at Bowie State University.
