About That Implausible Claim of 700,000 Lost Jobs . . .

At the New York Times’ feature on the budget negotiations, a number of readers have asked about Republicans’ claims that letting President Bush’s tax cuts on incomes over $250,000 expire would cost about 700,000 jobs.  Here’s the brief post we did on this claim a month ago, which explains why it’s highly implausible.
