Vanessa is the Manager of State Campaigns on the State Fiscal Policy team. She bolsters the State Priorities Partnership network’s policy campaigns and supports skill-building around equitable partnerships and community engagement. Vanessa is a passionate community organizer driven by a commitment to social equity and justice. She has worked on several local electoral campaigns in Washington, D.C. and Los Angeles. Her most recent work included serving as Campaign Manager for the Under 3 issue campaign in D.C., advocating for affordable and accessible childcare.

Vanessa received her bachelor's degree in history and political science from Vanguard University. She went on to earn her master's in public policy from George Washington University.
