Carmen Martinez is the Deputy Director for Digital Communications. She leads the digital communications team and its work crafting and executing online strategies to elevate the Center’s research and analysis while advancing federal and state policies aimed at building a stronger, more equitable nation. She oversees the Center’s social media presence, develops shareable graphics, and leads our digital ad campaigns and video production efforts.

Martinez joined the Center in April 2016 as a Digital Communications Associate. Prior to joining the Center, she was a Communications and Events Assistant at the Center for Clean Air Policy (CCAP), where she managed the organization's targeted communications and online presence. She also collaborated with domestic and foreign partners to organize high-level CCAP dialogues and events.

Martinez, a first-generation college student, holds a B.A. in Communications from the University of California, San Diego, and two A.A.s in Social/Behavioral Sciences and Humanities from Mt. San Jacinto Community College.
