Stephanie Hingtgen is a Research Associate with the Federal Fiscal and Income and Poverty Trends teams. Prior to joining the Center, Stephanie supported health services research projects focused on vulnerable populations at the University of Michigan Medical School. She returned to school to complete a Master of Public Policy degree following more than ten years of professional work in for-profit and nonprofit organizations. These experiences, particularly managing Catholic Charities’ Refugee Resettlement Program in Des Moines, Iowa, inspired her to work to improve social and economic policies for low-income people. Stephanie received her MPP from the University of Michigan, and a BA in Spanish and a Certificate in International Business from the University of Iowa.
