This week at CBPP, we focused on poverty and inequality, housing, health, and the economy.
- On poverty and inequality, LaDonna Pavetti and Gina Azito Thompson emphasized that important investments in Build Back Better would expand pathways to quality jobs and promote equity. We also made a final update to our COVID-19 hardship tracker, which analyzed the recession’s effects on food, housing, and employment hardships.
- On housing, Will Fischer explained that housing investments in Build Back Better would help address pressing unmet needs.
- On health, Tara Straw highlighted this year’s record-breaking marketplace enrollment numbers due to policymakers’ renewed commitment to health coverage.
- On the economy, we updated our backgrounder on how many weeks of unemployment compensation are available. We also updated our chart book tracking the post-Great Recession Economy.
