• On food assistance, Dottie Rosenbaum emphasized that SNAP’s contingency reserve is available to cover regular SNAP benefits during the shutdown, as supported by the law, as well as prior practice and understanding.
• On health, Gideon Lukens and Elizabeth Zhang explained that health insurance premium spikes are imminent as tax credit enhancements are set to expire.
