Nick Gwyn is a Senior Fellow on the Government Affairs team.
In this role, he focuses on cross-cutting policy and budget issues and on income security issues. Gwyn has over 25 years of experience working on Capitol Hill, including in Chief of Staff roles for Representative Sandy Levin and for the Democratic staff of the Committee on Ways and Means. He also served as the Democratic Staff Director for the Ways and Means subcommittee that has jurisdiction over a variety of income security programs, including Unemployment Insurance and the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program. Most recently, he was the Interim Senior Director of Income Security Policy at the Center. Gwyn has a B.A. in English Literature from Tulane University.
