Kenny Palmer is the Senior Manager of Media Relations on the Communications team. He assists with media strategies to promote the Center’s research and analysis and grows the Center's national media profile while maintaining relationships with key reporters.

Before joining the Center, Kenny was the Press Secretary for the South at the Democratic National Committee and for the Harris/Walz campaign. He also served as Deputy Press Secretary for The Indivisible Project. Following the 2016 election, he served as a Deputy Communications Director for North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper, working to advance rural economic development initiatives. He also served as a policy advisor for several Members of Congress.

Kenny hails from South Carolina, where he attended Furman University and obtained a degree in Political Science and History. In his free time, he volunteers with the DMV's Commission on Health and HIV and works to elect LGBT candidates across the country with the Victory Institute.
