Juan is the Legislative Assistant for the Government Affairs team. Prior to joining the Center, Castro was a Finance Associate for the Harris Victory Fund, fundraising for the Harris-Walz 2024 campaign, as well as supporting Democratic candidates up and down the ballot in the 2024 election cycle. 

Castro's experience also includes internships on Capitol Hill with Senator Kirsten Gillibrand and House Democratic Caucus Leader Pete Aguilar. In 2023, he served as a Legislative Aide during the Texas Senate’s 88th Legislative Session, where he contributed to key legislative initiatives for the people of Texas.
