George Fenton is a Senior Policy Analyst with the Federal Fiscal Policy team. His prior policy experience includes an internship at the Treasury Department and two years as a Research Assistant at the Federal Reserve Board. George completed his economics Ph.D. at the University of Michigan, where his fields were labor and public economics, and his dissertation included research on what shapes people’s preferences for taxation and redistribution in an era of rising income inequality. George grew up in Idaho and graduated summa cum laude from Boise State University with a B.A. in economics and minor in mathematics.
