Jones joined the Center in 2010 as a Policy Analyst with a focus on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. Jones works with state and federal officials as well as state advocates to strengthen and improve the program.
Prior to joining the Center, Jones was the Public Benefits Staff Attorney at the Virginia Poverty Law Center. As the Public Benefits Staff attorney, Jones provided technical assistance, training, representation, and policy advocacy in the areas of Unemployment Compensation Insurance, TANF, and SNAP. She also worked as a legal services attorney representing low-income individuals in various civil matters.
Jones holds a law degree from Howard University School of Law and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia.
