Areas of Expertise: State Budget and Tax
Zahradnik was a Senior Policy Analyst with the Center September 1999 through November 2005 with the State Fiscal Project. He focused on budget and tax issues at the state and local levels, working on low-income tax relief, EITC, rainy day funds and other aspects of the budget process. Zahradnik helped to provide technical assistance on general tax reform issues such as improving the fairness and adequacy of state taxes to outside groups and to enhance budget transparency. He also analyzed the impact of state EITC on families at various income levels.
Zahradnik came to the Center from the District of Columbia Office of Budget and Planning where he served as a manager and senior policy analyst in the operating budget division. He holds a Masters degree in Public Administration from George Washington University.
