Recently at CBPP, we focused on housing, food assistance, health, and the economy.
- On housing, Peggy Bailey issued a joint statement with the National Alliance to End Homelessness and National Low Income Housing Coalition on how the Supreme Court case City of Grants Pass v. Johnson highlights the need for leaders to address homelessness with humane, proven strategies.
- On food assistance, Ty Jones Cox released a statement on Chair Stabenow’s and Chair Thompson’s contrasting visions for the farm bill.
- On health, Allison Orris outlined new federal rules that will improve access to Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program nationwide. Farah Erzouki noted that recently updated Medicaid regulations can help older adults and people with disabilities enroll in Medicare Savings Programs.
- On the economy, we updated our backgrounder on how many weeks of unemployment compensation are available per state.
