Data Research Associate
Matt Saenz is a data research associate with the Center’s Income and Poverty Trends division, where he studies policies to reduce poverty and inequality in the United States. He previously worked as a research associate with the Center’s State Fiscal Policy division and completed internships with the Texas House of Representatives, Project Vote Smart, and the Austin City Council in Texas.
He holds a Master of Public Affairs from the LBJ School at the University of Texas at Austin, where he researched the effectiveness of an early childhood education program and served as a Student Fellow with the Center for the Study of Race and Democracy. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Politics from St. Edward’s University.
