John Springer is editorial director of the Communications team. He leads the Center’s team of editors and graphic designers, who work to ensure that the Center’s written and visual products are clear, accurate, and compelling. He also writes and edits a variety of Center communications and research products on topics including federal budget and tax policy, state budget and tax policy, and health policy.
Previously he was Managing Editor of the journal Arms Control Today, as well as an editor of secondary-school history and government textbooks at Houghton Mifflin, D.C. Heath, and Prentice Hall.
He received a B.A. from Williams College and an M.A. from Tufts University's Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.
