CBPP Press Call: Administration Proposal Would Cut Health, Food Assistance for Millions Over Time

On Tuesday, June 18, at 11:00 AM ET, the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities (CBPP) will hold a press call to discuss a proposal recently floated by the Trump Administration to change how the federal poverty line is calculated annually. The Administration could move forward with its proposal any time after the June 21 deadline for public comments.

The call will be on the record with CBPP Vice President for Health Policy Aviva Aron-Dine, Vice President for Food Assistance Policy Stacy Dean, and Senior Fellow Arloc Sherman.

CBPP’s experts will explain how the Administration’s proposal would ultimately cause millions of people to lose eligibility for, or receive less help from, health, food assistance, and other programs that help them meet basic needs and discuss its analytical flaws.

Q and A will follow the presentation. To RSVP for the call, please register below.
