Director of Network Equity and Inclusion
Annie McKay is the Director of Network Equity and Inclusion with the Center’s State Fiscal Policy team. In this role, they will be serving as an advisor and guide to State Priorities Partnership organizations, helping to center equity and inclusion in all facets of the groups’ work. Along with efforts already underway, the work will bring a particular focus to the internal organizational policies, practices, and culture of Partnership groups in order to strengthen the overall effectiveness of each member and that of the network as a whole.
Previously, Annie was the President and CEO at Kansas Action for Children, where they built bipartisan coalitions in support of sound health, economic, and education policies to improve the lives of Kansas children and families. Annie also served as the Executive Director of the Kansas Center for Economic Growth and spearheaded the successful efforts to reverse damaging tax cuts in Kansas that decimated critical state investments.
Annie holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas and a graduate degree from the University of Chicago.
