Xiomara Santos is the State Campaigns Specialist. She assists the state team in designing and executing cutting-edge field strategies with state and national partners around the country to advance the Center’s federal and state policy priorities. Previously, Xiomara worked at a public affairs consulting firm where she developed communications and educational material for national advocacy campaigns and worked with local partners to form diverse coalitions by recruiting advocates and stakeholders to maximize the campaigns’ impact. She also worked at the League of United Latin American Citizens, one of the nation’s oldest and largest Latinx civil rights organizations, where she assisted in building strong Latinx advocacy programs to engage underrepresented communities and stakeholders on a series of intersectional fights.
Xiomara serves on the Board of Trustees of Capital City Public Charter School, and she recently completed the Mujeres de HACE Leadership Program, a women’s leadership program geared to empower high-potential Latina professionals. Xiomara is a proud first-generation college graduate with a B.A. in political science from Coastal Carolina University.
