Tammie Smith is a State Communications Manager with the State Fiscal Policy team. She supports the Center’s state publications and communications capacity building for the State Priorities Partnership network. She previously worked as a Health Policy Analyst at the Logistics Management Institute, where she managed the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services' Shared Savings Program weekly newsletter. Before that, she served as the Communications Associate for the Pew Charitable Trusts' state policy campaigns and as the State Policy Associate for the National Council of Nonprofits.

Smith holds a bachelor's degree from Emory University and a master's degree in public management from the University of Maryland School of Public Policy, where she conducted research on economic security programs.
