William Chen joined the Center in August 2012 as a Research Associate with the Federal Fiscal Policy division, where he focuses primarily on federal budget, deficit, and debt issues.
Prior to joining the Center, he worked on best practices and innovation in sustainable development at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, polling data management at Georgetown University, and China policy at the U.S. Department of Commerce. Before coming to D.C., he raised funds for affordable housing and community development at InterIm CDA, a community development corporation in Seattle’s International District.
He holds a Master of Public Policy degree from Georgetown University and a B.A. in Fine Arts from Amherst College.
