Jason Levitis

Levitis joined the Center in December 2005 as a Policy Analyst and Counsel to the State Fiscal Project.

His work focuses on state income taxation, particularly the taxation of low-income families. He has written reports on state income tax thresholds, Earned Income Tax Credits, and minimum wages.

Levitis also works on budget transparency issues such as tax expenditure reporting. He has been featured on radio programs and quoted in newspapers across the country.

Prior to joining the Center, Levitis worked on tax and budget policy at Connecticut Voices for Children. He is also a former health policy analyst at the Greater New York Hospital Association.

He holds a B.A. in mathematics from Wesleyan University and a law degree from Yale University.
