In Memoriam: Honoring Richard W. Boone

We mourn the passing of Richard W. Boone.

As director of the Field Foundation, Dick Boone conceived of the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, in 1981, to pursue fiscal policies and improvements in social programs to protect and better serve low-income and vulnerable Americans. He recruited Robert Greenstein to start it.

This video honors his work in founding the Center and his extraordinary career dedicated to issues of poverty, civil rights, and social justice.

His family has created a memorial website to celebrate his life's work.
