Toon Vanheukelom
Vanheukelom joined the International Budget Partnership’s Open Budget Initiative as a Program Officer in August 2011.
Based in Washington, DC., he is responsible for conducting research and data analysis, providing project management support and technical assistance to partners and in-country peer reviewers, and designing and delivering training modules and presentations on budget transparency with a focus on Francophone Africa.
Vanheukelom holds a MA in Economics from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven and worked previously for the National Bank of Belgium and the Belgian Development Agency.
