Pueschel, Vice President for Institutional Advancement, has come to the Center with three decades of institutional management and fund raising spanning the fields of education, government, not-for-profit associations and for-profit corporations. Most recently as Managing Director of Development for Leadership Gifts for the National Parks Conservation Association (NPCA), he directed the organization’s successful $125 million Renewing Our Promise capital campaign.

Pueschel began his career as Special Assistant to U.S. Senator Alan Cranston (D-Calif.) where he managed the senator’s three major field offices. He was later selected as the Western Regional Director for the Statue of Liberty/Ellis Foundation responsible for fund raising and public relations for the campaign in 11 western states.

As an educational administrator in several independent schools, a medical school, and a women’s college, Pueschel taught, developed curricula, and raised millions of dollars in capital and annual funds before becoming the founding Head of a rigorous Episcopal middle/high school.

Pueschel received his undergraduate degree in political psychology from San Diego State University and completed his master’s degree course work in western thought at Wesleyan University (CT). He has numerous published articles and theses on election behavior and education.
