Vivek Ramkumar
Ramkumar works with the Center's International Budget Partnership as a Program Officer responsible for conducting training seminars in budget analysis as well as providing technical assistance to budget advocacy groups around the world.
He is developing a comprehensive guide to methods that civil society organizations can use to monitor government expenditures and accounts. He is also leading a groundbreaking effort to support the development of cooperative relationships between national audit institutions and civil society organizations intended to expand opportunities for public participation in audit processes.
Ramkumar previously worked with the MKSS - an organization that pioneered the Right to Information movement in India. He also worked with a Mumbai-based non-government organization called SPARC, which is part of the Shack/Slum Dwellers International.
Ramkumar is a qualified Chartered Accountant and holds a Master's degree from the London School of Economics.
