JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
Graphic Designer/Web Assistant

The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities is seeking a Graphic Designer/Web Assistant to create and enhance the print- and web-based graphics produced by the organization and assist in maintaining the Center's web site (www.cbpp.org). As part of the Center’s highly active and dynamic communications division, the Graphic Designer/Web Assistant will work closely with a wide range of Center staff to help create visually-compelling, charts, graphs, and images that clearly convey often-complex and data-rich concepts.

The Center is a leading nonprofit policy institute which conducts research and analysis on government policies at both the federal and state levels on budget, tax, health care, social insurance, and poverty.

Candidates must have excellent command of Windows, Microsoft Office, FrontPage, and common graphics software including PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Familiarity with video-editing and Flash, are desirable, but not required. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential, as are good interpersonal skills, and the ability to multi-task, take initiative, meet deadlines, and work extremely well in a team environment. Interest in public policy is a plus.

Compensation:
